John Prine

One of the greatest debut albums of all time – and quite a few noteworthy songs after that, as well. I saw him perform at Wolf Trap on August 27, 2004, with Kris Kristofferson opening.

      Interesting list from NYT. Obviously trying hard to balance the different parts of his career, but in the process left out a lot of great stuff from his debut.

      I learned from the WashPost obit that Bruce did some backup singing on The Missing Years album.
