“He’s Trump in a red vest.”
That’s how radio host John Fredericks summarized the new
Virginia governor a few days ago, after conducting a radio interview with him.
Just to be clear, Fredericks (who was Donald Trump’s
Virginia presidential campaign chairman in both 2016 and 2020) meant this as a
compliment. He went on to say the following:
“He [earlier] got blasted by the whole Trump-ecosystem base
[for being too moderate]. If he wants to run for something else or keep his
coalition together, you simply can’t alienate us.”
