There will be justice this Christmas

  1. The surprising element about the top 10 from this week in 1964 is not who's on the list of artists, but rather, who's missing (well, excepting Lorne Greene, of course).
    Lorne Greene
    Bobby Vinton
    Shangri Las
    Zombies
    Supremes (twice)
    Rolling Stones
    Kinks
    Johnny Rivers
    Gene Pitney

    1. Well, they finally settled into a more conventional "release one single at a time" pattern. I see that I Feel Fine debuted at #22, so the absence will be short-lived. Pretty great set of songs, for the most part.
A couple of obscure favorites of mine further down:
#33 Oh No, Not My Baby (Maxine Brown)
      #64 Opportunity (The Jewels)
      #78 What Now (Gene Chandler)
And let us not forget this debut:
#80 Leader Of The Laundromat (The Detergents)
