This sounds as though it might have been written yesterday,
but it’s actually from "I.G.Y. (What a Beautiful World)," the opening
track on one
of my all-time favorite albums. It was released in 1982, but reflects an
optimistic mid-50s sensibility. The chorus repeats the following two lines:
What a beautiful world this will be
What a glorious time to be free
